Charlie lives with long covid after contracting covid 5 times in 2022. It has severely impacted her energy and turned her life upside down. So she knows all too well the challenges of chronic illness but also the power of singing to lift your mood and improve your breathing.

FAQs
What is Sing to Breathe, Breathe to Sing?
Sing to Breathe, Breathe to Sing is a new monthly online singing for wellbeing session run by Charlie Frances. Each month, Charlie will lead a 30 minute singing session online via Zoom. There will be breathing exercises, vocal warm-ups and a simple song to learn with uplifting lyrics to boost our mood!
No previous singing experience needed, the mics will be off so it’s just about singing for yourself and for the joy of it!
When does it take place and for how long?
There will be one session per month to begin with as this will be a bit of experiemtn for Charlie’s energy levels. There will be 2 sessions on the same day: a lunchtime and an evening. Both with the same material so it’s just up to you which one is more convenient!
Each session will be 30 mins long and cost £5
Why now?
I really believe in the power of singing - it lifts our mood and brightens our day. The pandemic brought about lots of wonderful online communities many of which have now faded away again and lost funding.
As someone who lives with long covid, I feel it’s important for me to share my joy of singing with others who are going through similar situations: chronic health conditions, disabilities or those who just need to take 30 minutes out of their day to sing for whatever reason!
I’m excited to sing with you soon, C x
